DHL Global Forwarding is the air and ocean freight division of DHL. It moves cargo for shippers through a worldwide forwarding network.
In Saudi Arabia, DHL Global Forwarding runs office locations that support those operations. CPCON delivered an RFID fixed-asset program for the Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam offices so IT and Finance can work from one live register.

DHL Global Forwarding in Saudi Arabia needed a complete physical baseline of office and IT assets. Finance and IT kept separate registers. Laptops and docks sit on metal, so they need a different RFID tag than furniture. The program had to work in three cities and stay usable after the field team left.
Finance kept a fixed-asset register. IT kept a separate hardware register. The physical count had to reconcile to both.
Laptops, docking stations, and monitors need on-metal RFID tags. Furniture uses a larger tag class.
The same method had to work in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam, then remain usable after handover.
CPCON ran a physical count, applied RFID tags by asset class, photographed and checked each tag, and loaded the results into a cloud RFID system.
On-metal RFID tags for IT metal surfaces. Larger tags for furniture. Handheld scan in the field.
Each tagged asset was photographed and checked before it entered the live register.
The team reconciled the floor to the finance register and the IT register. The physical count found assets that were not on the finance register.
Results loaded into a web RFID system. No local install on DHL devices. IT and Finance received training to look up assets, update locations, and add new tags.

Field team counted office and IT assets in each city.
RFID tags encoded and applied by asset class.
Floor findings matched to Finance and IT registers.
Cloud access and training so DHL can keep the register live.
One RFID method across three DHL Global Forwarding offices in Saudi Arabia.
On-site count, tagging, and cloud upload.
Furniture and IT tagging on the same program.
Office floors on the same RFID register.
DHL Global Forwarding now has one RFID inventory for the Saudi offices. The same program supports furniture and IT hardware.
IT and Finance now work from one live RFID record instead of two disconnected lists.
The physical count found assets that were not on the finance register. Hundreds of office and IT assets were brought onto the RFID program across three cities.
After go-live, DHL ordered additional on-metal tags for laptops and docking stations.
